Adventur is a travel blog for frugal families planning epic adventures. It was founded in 2024 by Sarah Black, a working, married, mom of twins who, after hearing for years that she should share her travel tips and hacks with the world, decided to do just that. Sarah and her family have traveled to more than 20 countries, 40 US states, and are just as comfortable with campfire cooking as they are with resort lounging. The aim of the site is to help families stretch their travel dollars, have the best experiences exploring the world, and head into trips with been-there-done-that knowledge that eases the stress of traveling with children.
Why Adventur?
Used from c. 1150 to c. 1470, adventur was the Scottish and Irish form of the Middle English aventure, with definitions including “event, experience, venture, quest, wonder, and miracle.”
